Founded in 1963, being commissioned by the then president, Andrea Rizzoli, Milanello has been a laboratory where Milan players prepare for all their encounters. The entire complex was restructured once current president, the honourable Silvio Berlusconi took charge.
Nestled in a countryside retreat in the province of Varese, 40 km from Milan, Milanello features six football pitches (3 inside & 3 outside), a small Astroturf pitch and a covered pitch. There is also a 1,200-meter multipurpose track and a fully equipped sporting centre featuringgymnasium and infirmary facilities. Milanello also features offices, entertainment facilities and sleeping quarters for the players.
