Founded in 1963, being commissioned by
the then president, Andrea Rizzoli, Milanello has been a
laboratory where Milan players prepare for
all their encounters. The entire complex was restructured
once current president, the honourable Silvio Berlusconi
took charge.
Nestled in a countryside retreat in the province of Varese,
40 km from Milan, Milanello features six football pitches
(3 inside & 3 outside), a small Astroturf pitch and
a covered pitch. There is also a
1,200-meter multipurpose track and a fully equipped sporting
centre featuringgymnasium and infirmary facilities. Milanello
also features offices,
entertainment facilities and sleeping quarters for the players.
